day 1

we ran a little late today but it didnt change anything. The motel owner was so nice she took us to our rooms, asked us if we liked it and that if we didnt, she would give us any room we liked. We had no complaints about our room. It was loaded and very spacious. Too spacious actually haha. I really liked our room! Killed two hours there.
We got to the festival and seemed a bit disorganized. We waited in line til 6? i think. The show started at 4. We didnt realize were in the wrong line til an hour later i believe. Bad start? i think so. I paid $65 to get in at 4 and see every band but i didnt get to.
By the time we got in, Get the Most was finishing up on the "Sound" stage. While "fury" set up Alpha and Omega. There set was by far one of the best sets ive seen from them in a while. It was a good set. big ups to them. Now back to my criticizing the festival, the sound system was terrible. During sets, the power for the guitars would black out, leaving us hearing just the drums and a disappointed crowd. Didnt like security much. Hated the "no-ins and outs" rule the first day. i felt like a prisoner! 2 dollars for a water bottle!? i got 25 for 3.50! talk about a rip off.
The Mongoloids killed it. .Knife Fight's fans werent present. Iron Age was the best set that night. I was worn out by the time ceremony played, i fell asleep standing. It was already 11. Couldnt even stay for the last band...

reunited and it feeels so good.

It's like he never left. Though i missed him so much! So glad to be back in his arms again.
I wanted to share my favorite food with him so we had the BBQ Brazilian churasco at La Vaca in Glendale. Then visited my roots in Echo Park at the lotus lake to get some fresh air, a nice stroll and feed the ducks with the slice of bread that i brought. It was hot hot hot in los angeles today. I havent visited the lake since i was a wee lil girl. My dad would always take my sister and I to feed the ducks and have a picnic on the grass. The only thing that has changed was the arched bridge that used to be bright red which was now a forrest green color. After, we made our trip to the new place in the Santa Clarita Valley, Canyon Country that is. There is a funny story how we got in without a set of keys haha... The place was comfy and "homey". Spencer and Joele were very excited to see us both. And the new cat that i still dont know what the name is and if it is a boy or girl. He/she was a cute lil kitten with white furry paws and whiskers sticking out from its ears. Couldnt stay there all day so we decided to be mall rats at te SCV mall. There we window shopped and i ended up buying a purse from Guess. It was a needed accessory! I "burned" that purse of 3 years. And now i am part of the "Guess List". It was happy hour so we went over to BJ's to get our drank on before dinner tonight. Daniel enjoyed a beer while i sipped a glass of white wine. It was a good day, very out of the ordinary for us two. We looked forward to the rest of the week.

"daniel is...

traveling tonight on a plane
I can see the red tail lights heading for spain
Oh and I can see daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

They say spain is pretty though Ive never been
Well daniel says its the best place that hes ever seen
Oh and he should know, hes been there enough
Lord I miss daniel, oh I miss him so much"

gee duh, famous Elton John song.

"hey what are you doing?"..."playing video games..."

I found out my ex boyfriend was 6 years ago is....gay?

$10 for 10?

I requested this day off to go see Terror, Poison the Well, Bane, TUI and other bands, but as the day came closer, i lost interest in going. The day ended up being very spontaneous one. Jen hit me up and asked if i had anything planned tonight and i said, "actually no....i dont!" So she suggested we do something, something out of the ordinary. Belly dancing and morrocan food it is!!

I ended up driving in traffic for an hour and half then getting lost in westminister. Finally getting jen and to San Pedro for this placed called Babouch by the LA harbor. The Area was a lil ghetto lookin outside but inside was a different world. Everything was carpeted, from the walls to the chairs and the floor of course. Yes, they showed true morrocan hospitality assisting to wash our hands by pouring water from a vase onto a silver basin. We sat very close to the floor comforted with pillows and a comfy couches. Our server wasnt morrocan but a 26 year old named Jose born in mexico. haha His knowledge of morroco was good. We asked him where it was located because with my 11th grade comprehension of the world's geography, i wasnt going anywhere with my questions of the countries of the world. Morroco is located in North Africa. Now i know. We ordered a sampler. One of my favorites was the Spankopita, it is spinach wrapped in Filo. The Morrocan cuisine overall is great! Of course we couldnt end the night without a belly dancer. Once she came out, it was on! Our goal was a belly dance in front of everyone before we left. The belly dancer took both of us by the hand to the dance floor and showed us some of her moves. If only you could see how we do it! There were some photos taken but i havent got them yet! It was a bit nerve wrecking but i had to show everyone what i had. Thanks shakira! My hips dont lie. We bowed at the end and finished our amazing cuisine.

On the way back i got lost in San Pedro and ended up crossing the bay bridge that we both hoped we wouldnt end up on that night. Its a crazy bridge and i think the first bridge ive ever driven on. Im not too experienced with driving bridges! We screamed the whole time on that bridge freakin out...

brought jen back and called up dane who was /is in town around the time. About 20 mins from me. Might as well say whats up before i leave the o.c.

I got home in 30 mins traveling the freeway. Scary stuff. Im glad i made it back safe. crazyy day.
i hate traffic.

Truth about boys

According to Dr. Chu, boys are all liars...

He said when you ask a man by himself if he loved women, he would say, "yes i love women"
but when you ask him when his wife, girlfriend is present the answer would be "i only love my wife, my girlfriend"

He asked me where my boyfriend was and i said he was at a party. Then he said "ohhh be careful!"
I pretended not to hear anything he was saying! Then he asked, "do you trust him??"
My answer? .........

"yes, i do trust him."

then next question, "do youplan on marrying him??"

my answer?..........

"yes, i actually do."

"My advice to you casey is....", Dr. Chu says

"when you marry him, always treat him like a boyfriend, because if you treat him like a husband then you'll end up in divorce!"

Im not sure what he meant but i kinda get what he's saying. Ill take his word for it.

born to expire

Today i had my first re-admit and "expiration" of one of my patients. I was lucky enough to have Dr. Chu with me that night. He pretty much did most of the work. I felt totally clueless as to what i am suppose to do with a dead body. Well, there are taking tubes out of the remaining physical body, calling the family and informin them that their loved one has passed away, comforting the family member(s) that are present at the facility, calling to the pharmacy to stop all deliveries for their medication, tagging the ankle with their name and last name & calling the mortuary for the body pick up. Signing a death certificate is a weird experience. It was hard to see the son tell me that it was his fault and that he didnt want to see his father suffer anymore and just "go". I held in my tears and because i didnt cry, he told me that i was tough and thanked me for being a form of strength for him... hmmm. Definitely not easy to hold your sorrow in. Just to put it out there, Im not numb to things like that. but this was something i had to get used to. especially it being part of my job.

i'm feelin this

I felt bi-polar/sensitive/annoying today. In addition to that? stress, emotional. It was weird, all the doctors for our patients showed up at the hospital today. The filipino one, the caucasian one, and the indian one haha. I onlu know Dr Chu. He is a old short man, likes to joke around, looks chinese but speaks tagalog. He thinks that me going back to school next year for Rn is "wonderful" . After our conversation he showed me a magic trick he shows his grandchildren. Something with a rubber band and such. He placed it on hispinky and ring finger and slapped his hand and "magically" it appeared on the other two fingers on the same hand...after a minute he explained that he was just flipping his hand back and forth making it a total illusion. I felt so retarded after that..

ah-wooooo

drove to burbank, which isn't often but i did today with mariedet. We noticed everything we got from Ikea was the color white. For some reason she was really excited about the hamper she got. And i just got a storage box with wheels which amused me when i placed it on my floor and pushed it really far away from me with one kick. i "loled". Day 2 for my new phone. The guy "Jesse" from t-mobile tried hella hard for my decision to keep my old number with customer service. I have yet to give him a call and say thank you. Dude rules.
heard the new

Shakira song. by far my favorite song of the month. The wolf sound she makes is kewt.

long day

thank you cro mags.

listening to "the build up" by Kings of Convenience.

everyone knows that my phone was busted at the mags show in late may? (correct me if im wrong) after a second the first song played.
after work i stopped by tmobile to finally get a new phone. Leave the family plan of 3 years and go onmy own account took some time, some calls, some signing and a whole lot of time to get done. I found out that i have gotten the same phone as my boyfriend. totally not intentional. we both are now proud owners of the blackberry curve. I decided i didnt need the internet on it so that puts +$34 in my pocket. And becaus the company considered us "Loyal Customers" since 06, they didn't charge activation , the fee to keep mynumber and included that every call from any company be unlimited. It pays to be loyal. They didnt have the phone in stock so they had to order it and have me pick it up around 330p tomorrow. I left the store with an
empty tmobile bag and minus $111 in my checking account.

ended the night with a trip to mulholland drive with arvin and hannah. Overlooking the amazing view was the Hollywood bowl crowded with fans for Jenny Lewis, a brown out somewhere around west la and traffic from below on the 101. Def a tourist attraction. Again...thank you arvin for taking us there.
it was about 9 ish, got hungry so we stopped by the Cheesecake Factory at the Grove in Beverly Hills. We had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, so we looked around the Barnes and Noble. There i looked at books on fashion, cupcakes, graffiti, woman(naked woman), loco david la chappelle and dvds box sets of sitcoms like punky brewster, good times, ghost whisperer, buffy the vampire slayer and saved by the bell. i missed Small Wonder the most. :(
around 925 we got our table. My marciano's sucked on their floors. I almost slipped like 3x. It was my sister and arvin's first time at the restaurant. So i just told them the bread is good, the macaroni is even better, and the kobe beef was great.
my sister enjoyed a grilled cheese with fries, then arvin ordered some fettucini alfredo i believe and it was my first time trying the chicked mediera. My plate consisted of 2 slightly thin but thick pieces of boneless chicken, smothered with melted cheese on top and 2 brussel sprouts in "X's" on top the cheese. And on the side some mashed garlic potatoes. Amazing dish, i suggest it to everyone!

Im really tired after with "food coma" so we went home and ended my sunday night. i knocked out.

violins

we got to see andrew bird in the beautiful hills of los angeles at the greek theater. It was my first time at the theater and it was a great experience. Im not used to going to "big" concerts, therefore i wasnt use to paying so much for drinks and food.
i got a weird vibe from this show. there wasnt a person standin, dancing, singin along...out of the 5700 present..nothing! killed my beer high. Not sure why. I havent inhaled in all that mary jane in the air in a while. Not a comforting feelin. andrew bird...with his rich voice, mellow, sweet melodies blocked all of that i put me in his music high. There was a haunting sound about his whistling echoing throughout the theater and it always seemed to end with the audience giggling about it. It was his birthday , the week before, so someone started singing happy birthday, leading everyone to sing "happy birthday " to andrew. His fans were well dressed. Almost seemed like a fashion show. I liked that part too. Ra Ra Riots were interesting as well as the Heartless Bastards. Overall a good show for me and my sister on a beautiful summer night
in July...

Breakfast on Cahuenga Blvd.

Daniel and I have actually crossed paths with this restaurant on one of our visits to studio city. Again, I can't help but remember all the memories with him around Studio City, Calif. This morning, i decided i wanted breakfast other than my traditional cereal. I woke my sisters up and begged them to go to Good Neighbor Restaurant. We walked in and got to choose any table we wanted to be seated at. We chose one by the corner where we were surrounded by head shots of celebrities that have visited and ate at the restaurant. Our servers were very helpful. The breakfast was perfect. I had a short stack of butter pancakes, sausage & scrambled eggs. The orange juice was freshly squeezed with pulp. I don't like o.j. but this was an exception! I wished i tried the banana pudding they offered but i had no space in my tummy!

ps. THANKS CONAN!
