well well well

Couldn't get up at 3:50am. So I am here alone in my home. This part of los angeles feels empty and quiet. Everyone was at the parade along Figueroa and ceremony at the LA Coliseum...In the time being alone, my mother called me from Florida, that they had just arrived. I told her how bad the night before was at work & the encouraging words of wisdom from most people as well. She eventually shared her own and stayed on the phone with her for a good 25 minutes. I can't remember the last time i talked on phone with my mother that long. She told me Dad was joking about asking her if she wanted to move to Houston, Texas because of the cheaper homes, in other words mansions they had.

_6PM
when my sisters and geo came back from the ceremony all sun- burnt and tired, hannah and i went to Eagle Rock's graduation ceremony, about 2 mins from home taking place at Occidental College. Our friend graduating didnt have any more tickets so we went through the back to enter. there we got in and met up with everyone else. Hearing the speeches and watching the whole grad ceremony, all of a sudden didnt mean so much as it did when i graduated back in 05. High school was easy and couldn't compare to college. These kids dont know what they are headed for..the real world basically. And after the ceremony, i see kids crying and hugging, thinking they will be friends forever when all i know is that when i graduated..we all separated and eventually try to make plans to "hang" but never seem to come through. It all changes after high school. You just find new people to "hang" with. College friends maybe? or co-workers. And some fortunately do keep in touch.

being in a sponeneous mood, hannah and i head to hollywood to relax and see the sights, get some dinner. We sat on the 3rd floor on the balcony of the Hollywood and Highland complex talking about how neat it is to feel so much at home.... We love la.
